What a comic relief! After spoiling PS1 with deviations from the already deviated Kalki's novel version of the Imperial Cholas, he comes now with another one of his deviant perspectives. Reading books or hearing and seeing in media, it's apparent the latter is twice as expressive. And Karunanidhi was the dawn of activism of social reforms using screenplays and dialogues. Let God bless JM with such an activistic, fruitful and societal benevolence in his writings! If he still considers alliterations alone do not complete a writer, then it's fair to say metaphors do not either.

I further thought about Writer Jeyamohan calling himself above Karunanidhi - the five-time Chief Minister of the State, life-time writer, thinker, literateur, orator, poet , politician, administrator and above all the first-son of world Tamil people of present times. What would have made Jeyamohan to say so - his own birth-related superior thinking or his left leaning or his animosity towards Dravidian superiority for which Karunanidhi stood steadfast till end of his life?

Jeyamohan considers himself above Karunanidhi! Let him have at least the pleasure of such an opinion in him. I think that Jeyamohan had a limited vision about Karunanidhi as a politician and the Chief minister of a State. But, the fact is that Karunanidhi was not only the Chief Minister of the State but also a prolific writer on variety of subjects. Karunanidhi's contribution to cine-field started with Parasakthi, followed by many super-hits, His contribution to Tamil literature is enormous including a prose on Thirukkural. . Jeyamohan has freedom to think himself great, but in my opinion, drawing the name of Karunnidhi for comparision is unwarrenterd on that occasion.

Have you read anything of Jeyamohan? Start with Elephant Doctor, preferably in Tamil (free on the web). Work your way to reading all of Aram stories. Try to get a grasp of the magnitude of Venmurasu. JMo was only comparing the literary output. Not politics.

நல்ல பேட்டி. வெண்முரசு என்ற மிகப்பெரிய படைப்பை படைத்தவராக ஜெயமோகன் அவர்கள் மகாபாரதம் பற்றிய இளைஞர்கள் அறிய வேண்டிய முக்கியமான செய்திகளை பேசியிருக்கிறார். பொன்னியின் செல்வன் படத்தின் திரைக்கதை ஆசிரியராக பேட்டியின் பெரும்பகுதி சினிமாவின் அண்மைக்கால முன்னேற்றங்களை விளங்கியது சிறப்பு. ஊடக வடிவத்தின் மூலம் கற்றல் சாத்தியமில்லை என்ப தையும் புத்தகங்களை வாசித்தல் அறிவை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள மாணவர்களுக்கு எவ்வளவு இன்றியமையாதது என்பதையும் அருமை. காந்தி என்ற நிகர இல்லாத ஆளுமை பற்றிய பகுதியும் சிவராமகராந்த் பற்றிய பகுதியும் முக்கியமானது. சமஸினுடைய கேள்விகள் பேட்டியின் வெற்றிக்கு பின்னால் இருக்கிறது. நன்றி.
